The arrival of 'Discount' Airlines has opened up the options for getting to the Alps. For flexible trips there are now more options and better prices, particularly if you know your dates in advance or are travelling mid-week.

However, don't automatically assume the Mainstream Airlines will be more expensive. In many cases, particularly for busier dates, they will have the best prices.
