AUSTRIAN SALES TO SUFFER?

  15 February 2000

The recent political changes in Austria look set to end its return to popularity with British skiers.

After an increase in the share of the British market from 20% in 1998 to 21.8% in 1999, Austria seems set to fade over this and next winter.

Operators, still suffering from from significant fall in sales this winter, will be crossing their fingers that any skiers Austria loses still decide to holiday elsewhere.
