SNOWBYSIG ACCUSED

29 March 2005

SnowbySIG - the French snowsports industry exhibition - has been criticised for poor organisation.

Once considered the rendezvous for the European snowsports industry, French ski website PisteHors reports that the show has fallen a long way since the glory days.

Although the show claims on its website to be 'a marriage of efficiency and professionalism', it is alleged that the doors were closed three hours early on the final day due to the small number of visitors attending.

Despite the fact that there was a queue of visitors waiting to get in and the published closing time was 5pm, security guards advised at 2pm that the show organizers had decided to close the show early.

A new look for SnowbySIG?

SnowbySIG has lost considerable influence in the last few years due to the increasing dominance in the industry of the Munich based ISPO, which is now recognised as the only essential event to attend.
