Large snowfalls, combined with mid winter temperatures that keep the snow dry, have made, locals claim, the best spring skiing conditions ever. Although the weather of late has been extremely volatile, skiers and boarders are not complaining as big snowstorms are followed quickly by warm, sunny spells, allowing for powder day after powder day to be enjoyed. Recent weather patterns resemble North American conditions as the snow begins to fall late afternoon and throughout the evening but clears for the morning so fresh tracks can be made.
