Whether you’re a skier, a kayaker or an armchair mountaineer, no one can resist gazing in wonder at the incredible photos of their sporting heroes’ death defying antics.

Veterans of the Natives Photography competition a couple of years ago will be interested in the 1st Extreme Sports Photography Competition, which plans to showcase the finest collection of images from the world of extreme and adventure sports.

Anyone can enter the competition and the selected finalists' photos will be on display at the exhibition in at Snow + Rock's Covent Garden store, London (16-30 Oct) and The Adventure Travel and Sports Show, G-Mex, Manchester (01–02 Nov).

The public will decide the winners of the competition as visitors are invited to vote for their favourite photographs. There are some great prizes too including Nikon’s latest digital camera, the Coolpix SQ, Nikon sports binoculars, a top spec Lightwave Tent, as well as some Bollé sunnies.
