Can you tell a mute grab from a safety? Do you know your loops from
your front flips?
If you're not sure then why not get along to the Natives.co.uk
Freestyle Zone at this year's British
Ski Show (Birmingham NEC, 26-28 Sep).
Check
out the best of the New School
During the Show, some of the UK's best riders will be showing
the public exactly what the 'new school' of freestyle skiing has
to offer, thanks to the shorter, wider skis now available.
Iain Martin of Natives is very positive about the future for British
freestyle skiing: "Few people realise how much skiing has changed
in the last couple of years, and even fewer that there is a strong
group of young talent coming out of the UK."
Dig The New Breed
"The Natives Freestyle Zone gives us a chance to showcase
this talent, including not only the UK's established riders in the
Line/ACG team, but, thanks to our competition 'The New Breed', there's
a platform for the other great young riders around."
The eight riders competing in 'The New Breed', represents the cream
of young British talent. The current rider list (subject to change)
includes:
Nick
Southwell (18, Salisbury)
Nick Cooper (17, Stoke)
Dan Botham (18, Stoke)
Eddie Thelwell (17, Sheffield)
Shelly Jones (20, Stoke)
Joe Blackwell (17, Sheffield)
Mike Wakefield (17, Sheffield)
Mark Watson (18, Milton Keynes)
Pro-rider

Tom Last and Paddy Graham, will be demonstrating their quarter-pipe
skills three times a day during the Show.
The action in the Natives.co.uk Freestyle Zone starts on Friday
25 September at midday, with the climax to the competition coming
at 3.30pm on Sunday 27 September.
You can find out more about the British
Ski Show, including how to get '2 for 1' tickets. All of the
