Highlights of the month
Highlights in March included St Patrick's night, The (Inter) Milan
trip, a resort night out to Pizza Express, The Mardi Gras (Shrove
Tuesday Party),The Heineken Music Tour and various long, lost days
watching rugby.... And some still fitted in trips to the Workers
Challenge, the Cham Jam, James Bond night at Dicks and went out
on the mountain too.
  
Some gorgeous weather and lots of fun in the sun
right through March - and thankfully a little new snow at last to
freshen things up for some great skiing and boarding on the oh so
quiet slopes during April.
Beatles mania
March kicked off with a resort night out to Pizza Express in Meribel
to see the Beatles (among others) tribute band, Patchwork. They
started off with some Queen, Robbie and Stones numbers, then for
the second half came on dressed as the Beatles and ploughed through
hit after hit - a great performance finishing off with Teen Spirit
(of course). The pizza wasn't bad too.
Away day
A few of us enjoyed a hastily arranged trip to Milan to watch Inter
v Newcastle (only a 4 hour drive through the 13km long Frejus tunnel)
at the San Siro stadium. For some it was their first trip down the
mountain since the first week of December! A great game ending in
a 2-2 draw, plenty of drink and real Italian pizza!
  
Heineken Girls
The highlight of various other parties and theme nights was the
Heineken Music Tour and the arrival of the Heineken promotion girls.
There was a DJ, some bongos and some free booze I remember too...
So with the rowdiness of the 6 Nations rugby over, the resort and
slopes quietening down, some people leaving already, talk of "what
do you do in the summer?" more abundant than ever - we have a fresh
snowfall and winter returned.
Panic sex
La Tania has three weeks left for panic sex, skiing & boarding and
the run up to our big Charity Day BBQ on 16th April in aid of Cancer
Research UK. Happy Hour all day, bands on the terrace, fun & games
with lots of prizes and the annual Saisonnaires poll winners party
- should be a good day, come and join us. Toffa.
