List of bizarre claims headed by hair-raising encounter

Anyone who has done a ski season knows that, at times, it can be a dangerous game, but you might be surprised to see what some of the insurance companies claim is "bizarre" or "amusing". Chances are you have seen some pretty interesting things and heard of many more. If you have had injured clients or the misfortune to have been injured you might be interested in this:

British skier 'attacked by a goat'
An insurance company has published a list of its most bizarre claims by British skiers - and top of the list is a tourist who says he was attacked by a mountain goat while practicing his jumps.

Don't lick the icebergs…
The list, published by AXA PPP, also includes a skier who got stuck to a ski lift when he grabbed it without wearing gloves, and a learner skier who hit an icy patch, fell over - and managed to stab himself with his ski pole.

Bizarre and strange?
Another skier was left unconscious when a snowball fight got out of control and he was hit on the head, while according to the online news provider Ananova, which reports the survey, one female holidaymaker managed to ruin her holiday before she even got as far as the ski lift. The woman fell and broke her wrist just yards from her hotel on the first day of her holiday.

A spokesman for AXA PPP told Ananova: "This has been a bumper ski season and it stands to reason that more skiers leads to more bizarre claims."

Be careful out there
Golly, someone could break an ankle on the way home from the pub! Or hurt their wrist, or prang their car....
