The
Natives team of Iain Martin and Jon Trigell blasted away all opposition
last Wednesday to win the annual Luttman-Johnson race in Zermatt
(sort of).
Placed 2nd in the Visitors category in the main
competition, the Natives Gringos were shocked to learn that 50%
of the winning team actually worked in the resort!
Although
as winners of the Fancy Dress competition, it would perhaps have
been embarressing to have swept the board, this left the Gringos
with the moral high ground. Whether they would have stayed there
if the extent of the cheating and bribery that had gone on during
the day is moot point.
'Nuns on the Run' were graceful winners, indeed
giving grace and blessings to the teams they beat.
The
winners of the Workers Competition, for an unprecedented 3rd year
in a row, were 'Oh Go On Then' (Chris from the North Wall Bar and
Paul from Inghams).
The official figures show they won by 0.002419 of
a point, so it's just as well the final calcuations went to 6 decimal
places - that's how tough this competition is...

It's a fantastic event, brilliantly organised this year by Sean,
Ken and Nicky.
We'll see you next year!
