STILL SNOWING IN NZ

26 September 2002

Winter conditions over the entire mountain with another 4cm of new snow this morning before the skies cleared at 11am. 100% coverage over the mountain with all main trails being groomed daily. Dry packed powder in most areas with light spring developing on the warm afternoons. Current snow base is a minimum 80cm extending to over 2 metres on the upper mountain.

This is the best skiing and riding conditions we have had in late September in several years and will make for a great second week of the school holidays. Temperatures have been varying between -10 and +1 Celsius.

Pipe & Park News
All four pipes have plenty of snow with two being shaped daily between snowstorms. The jump and rail Park is slowly being submerged by the new snow but still in great condition. The Pengi's Park on Skyline is heaps of fun too!

Looking ahead to a really good last week of the school holidays. The Salmonella Dub music machine will play in the courtyard on Wednesday. Presently Cardrona is scheduled to close on Sunday the 6th October.

That's it for this season. Hope you all have a chance to get close to the snow before we close. Keep up to date with the webcam
