ALL CHANGE

29 April 2002

Regular visitors to Natives will have noticed a few changes to the site over the weekend.

To celebrate the start of our 4th year on the Internet (Natives launched in April 1999), we have a new digitally compatible design.

A web site is always growing and evolving but this is effectively our third design, after the way we were from 1999-2000, and most recently 2000-2002.

The new design improves navigation and download speeds, as well as the experience for Netscape users. It also introduces our new 'Knowledge is Powder' logo which many of you will already be familiar with from this winter.

Natives remains the Season Workers Website, but with over 2000 pages, we are one of the leading resource of information about the ski industry. Many hundreds of these pages contain information that you cannot find anywhere else, making Natives a unique resource on and off the Internet.

Other changes you may notice on the site include our newly redesigned jobs database. The database now delivers details on each particular job type offered by each employer. This gives employers and potential employees more opportunity to explain more and find out more respectively about each job.

We are also pleased to announce our new Internet partner, Ifyouski. As of this week, ifyouski.com, as well as its partner sites, Board-it and Waxed will be featuring Natives on their jobs channels, increasing our reach by up to 200,000 unique users per month.

There are a number of other small changes. Last week saw the introduction of our Student Racing area. This will include details of BUSC, Kings Ski Club, Huskis and other student ski events. Our Mail a Friend script has been updated. Our Season Lets service has started. Watch our for our database of Resort Bars and Clubs coming over the summer.

Finally, everyone at Natives would like to thank you, our visitors, for your support. In the three years since launch, we know that the site has helped a whole bunch of people. The reason we're still here after the 'dot.gone' fiasco is that visitors like you keep coming back.

Again, thank you. If you keep telling us what you want to see on the site and keep telling your friends about us, then hopefully we'll be here for the next three years as well.   ;-)
