BUSC
(The British Universities Snowsports Council) has just released
details about its new event, the BUSC Summer Session, in association
with Kommunity camps.
The
course is aimed at students looking to improve their freestyle
and freeride skills in a relaxed but professional atmosphere.
Dan Craig from BUSC2003 told Natives the Summer
Session has been designed to offer students the chance to
experience "the joys of summer riding at a price they
can afford".
The camp is also part of BUSC's preparations for the World
Student Games, to be held in Tarvisio, Italy next year.
Coaching for the camp is led by Neil McNab
from McNab Mountain sports who has run Kommunity
Freeride Camps for six years. He will be supported by
a team of BASI instructors and some of the most exciting pro
boarders and skiers currently around on the British scene.
Morning
coaching sessions will cover the half-pipe and the rails and
kickers of the Deux Alpes funpark. Afternoons will include
various activities such as white water rafting, mountain boarding
and also 'less extreme' sports like golf and tennis. There'll
also be plenty of opportunities to relax by the pool and enjoy
the summer sun.
