Even before most people arrived the evening went off with a bang - literally. Justin, Courchevel's resident pyromaniac and Gringos barman, came across a bag full of fireworks. Grabbing the biggest one in the box, before you can say, "light the blue touch paper" it was rolling across the sun deck of the Cap Horn. Instead of pointing upwards as directed missiles started firing in every which direction. It wasn't long until the manager threatened to end the entire evening before it has even started.

The first award to be handed out was for most popular girl, the politically correct way of saying slapper. The nominees were Abi (First Choice), Olivia (Ski Val) & Jenny (Crystal/Mark Warner).

The winner was Olivia but as she was unavailable Abi collected the bottle of champagne. As a bonus Abi told her top shags of the season. 2nd place went to a gutted (for coming second to Rob) Justin (Ski Higher); 1st place went to Rob Artois(Ski Higher). Abi personally gave Justin his consolation prize in the kitchen where they were almost caught in the act by the chef.

The second award was for best skiing accident. The nominees were Steve Dunsire for his first jump at the Boss des Bosses. Steve demonstrated why you shouldn't lean backwards as he flew through the air landing squarely on his back. The second nominee was Clare (Jump) for her drunken snowboard jump which resulted in a very expensive blood wagon ride down to 1650. Tanya was nominated for a big crash that resulted in her breaking skis Finally, for blowing out his knee at the Boss des Bosses Smoo was the finally nominee. The almost unanimous winner was Steve Dunsire.

The next award was for biggest male slapper. The nominees were Lard (Ski higher), Rich (Flexiski) and Rob Stephenson. The winner was Rob but as he was nursing Olivia back to health Rich collected the champagne. After complaining about his nomination Lard wasn't too disappointed as he went home with Georgie (Ski val).

The award for best costume was a tie between Jamie(Qski) for his commando outfit and Liz (Tj's) dayglo green SOS jacket.
