| PRINCE HARRY TO BECOME SKI WORKER? |
25 June 2001 |
|
It seems that several of the Sunday papers have suggested that the 16-year-old prince will following in the footsteps of his brother Prince William, 19, by taking a gap year before university. Disappointingly, the Prince is not tipped to become a chalet boy or barman for a British tour operator, but instead is likely to be working at the Walserhof hotel in Klosters, Switzerland, where he has stayed several times before. If so he may well find himself working as a plongeur as the four-star Walserhof hotel only has a dozen rooms, although it is attached to a two-Michelin star restaurant. Will Harry work a season? A Buckingham palace spokeswoman provocatively claimed that "it's still too early too say." We will be contacting the palace to offer
our services if he has any trouble finding a job. We will
of course need a copy of his CV and full references. NB His elder brother,
William, is due to start his studies at St Andrew's University
in Scotland in September. Speculation continues as to whether
he will join the University ski club and join in the fun at
next year's BUSC championships in Les Arcs. Watch this
space...
