Aamodt looks to keep Austrians out

After some frantic rearrangements over the weekend, yesterday evening saw some racing at last with the two slalom legs of the Men's Combined.

The bad news for the Austrian's is that the evening finished with Kjetil Aamodt leading over Mario Matt and Rainer Schoenfelder.

Both still stand a chance in today (Tues) downhill section of the race, but with a superlative record in Combined events in recent years, Aamodt is considered strong favourite to wrest yet another gold away from the home nation.

That leaves this morning's rearranged Women's Downhill as Austrian's next best chance for gold. This is scheduled to start at 1030 GMT.
