Too much snow delays racing...

Up to 50cms of fresh snow forced the postponement of the Men's Downhill on Saturday and

During the weekend around 850 people have been working with 50 'piste bashers' and snow moving machines to shift an estimated 100000 tonnes of snow.

Currently it is hoped that the Men's Combined will take place on Monday, with both the Men's and Women's Downhill on Tuesday.

As well as the problems of rearranging races, the organising committee will also have to make provisions for spectators. The same seats have been sold for both the Men's Downhill and the Women's event, so an extra stand is being built, plus VIP treatment being laid on for all ticket holders.
