The Red Bull Xtreme at Verbier, now in its 6th year, will again this year see some of the world's best freeride snowboarders compete on the 'Bec des Rosses. From Gentianes village, the public and the judges can admire what should be a stunning and exciting exhibition of madness as they take on an extremely challenging descent (part of which is shown right). This year the one-day contest will take place on Saturday 24 March, with Sunday in reserve as a bad weather day. If you can't make it to Verbier, you can follow the action live on their excellent website. [Even if you are going to be there it's worth checking it anyway - it's one of the best Flash sites we've ever seen!] Those out in Verbier can watch out for
the usual 'Cowfighting' favorites, plus freestyle motorbike
demos and even a ramp in the town square for bikers and skaters.
