A Canadian woman of 30, was killed by a cougar while skiing
in Banff on Tuesday.
A 60kg male cougar was shot dead by
wardens after being found standing over the dead woman's
body. Park officials believe that the cougar stalked the
victim before attacking her from behind.
It was the first recorded fatality
ever in Alberta from such an attack.
