When you voted overwhelmingly (99.6% in favour) in favour of turning the Millennium Dome into a Snodome (You the Jury - Aug 00), we had no idea how close to the truth we were.

Perhaps one of Tony's focus groups picked it up, possibly Alistair Campbell is on our maillist. Whatever the reason it emerged recently in Leisure and Hospitality ('the website for leisure and hospitality') has reported that such a venture is one of the (few) options available.

Snow Valley - a sports and entertainment venue with adjacent winter sports complex - is one of the nine consortium bidders aiming to buy the Dome and the surrounding 48-acre Greenwich site.

A final shortlist of will be announced by the turn of the year with a final decision in the Spring.
