New
details have emerged about the planned Salford Snowdome
due to open in late 2002.
To be known as Snoworld, the development
of the site between the Railway Viaduct and Oldfield Road
starts this year and will require 500 builders and a disused
canal to be filled in.
The slope should be about 250m and
it is suggested there will be a permanent fun park and quarter-pipe
or half-pipe.
The £85m development will include
the shops, cinemas and bowling alley and will generate 3000
new jobs. You can find more details about the snowdome at
their website.
