Freeride.fr looks
like it's going to change the way hire shops are run
by bringing service right to the fore.
Located just above
Jacks, only a minute's walk from La Chaudanne, the
shop is going to carry a full range of Salomon and
K2 skis, Salomon, Lange, Nordica and Raichle boots.
Not a bad selection, and
even better when you know that all the rental skis
will be brand new each year!
Anyone planning
to buy this winter should also check out their free
test centre - every ski they sell will be available
to test on snow! Bootwise, they are also going
to have a boot fitting
clinic - pretty useful for anyone who's going to spend
a lot of time on the mountain over the winter.
On
the clothing side, Freeride has scored rights as Méribel's
exclusive Patagonia Pro Shop, which is bound to make
it popular with seasonworkers and holiday makers alike.
Word has it that this winter not only will you be
able to buy the usual range of jackets and fleeces
but also their own branded range of silk boxer shorts…
It's when you're
on holiday that you stand to gain the most from the
American style service from Freeride.fr. Overnight
ski and boot storage will save you lugging your skis
around resort, and for even more convenience, they
will come right to your chalet to fit your skis and
boots for you as well as servicing skis overnight
and delivering them back to you.
This seems like
the sort of service that Meribel and France in general
has been crying out for so long, it makes you wonder
why it hasn't been done before.
You can find out more about
Freeride.fr at their website which will be adding pre-booking
facilities as we get closer to the seeason. Anyone looking for
a job in a ski shop this winter, should take this
